Ryan Aeronautical was one of the most important aeronautical corps. In the US from 1927-1980. It built many significant aircraft, including Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis, and other ground breaking designs. It was a major employer in San Diego. The Ryan Aeronews (formally Ryan Aerolite) is the employee's newsletter and gives details about the day to day operations of the factory, and the products that were being made there. These newsletters give insight into the cultural, economic, and technical history of the Southern California during the Cold War.
